WearBeauty is designed so that your clients’ information stays with you. This statement explains who is responsible for what under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
WearBeauty is a WordPress plugin. Appointments, client records, consultation forms, clinical records and photos, sales and staff information are stored in your own website’s database, on hosting you choose. They are not sent to WearDigital Ltd.
Your business is the controller of that information. Your hosting provider, and the providers you connect (such as Stripe for payments and Twilio for texts), act for you under your agreements with them.
Only what is needed to check your licence and deliver updates: your licence key, your website address, the plugin version and the IP address of your server. None of this is client information.
Normally we do not. We may see it only if you choose to share it with us, for example by giving us a login to your website or sending us an export so we can help with a support request. When that happens we act as your processor and we will:
Please only give us the access we need, and remove it when we have finished.
WearBeauty includes tools to help you look after client data, including marketing consent records, export of client information, settings for how long to keep records, an audit log, staff roles and permissions, and encrypted storage of clinical photos. How you use them is up to you.
