Send text messages with Twilio

Set up Twilio

1. Create an account at twilio.com and add some credit.
2. Get a UK phone number, or register an alphanumeric sender name of up to 11 letters where Twilio allows it.
3. From the Twilio console, copy your Account SID (AC…) and Auth token.

Connect it to WearBeauty

1. Go to WearBeauty, Settings, Messages.
2. Under Text messages (Twilio), switch on Send text messages.
3. Paste your Account SID and Auth token.
4. In Send from, enter your Twilio number (+447…), a Messaging Service SID (MG…) or your approved sender name.
5. Save. The status shows Ready when everything is in place.

Your Twilio details are stored encrypted. Use Send a test on the Messages page to check a message arrives.

Tip: Keep text messages under 160 characters where you can, as longer messages are charged as more than one text.
